The best spot is at the beginning of the petrol station, there is a spot where cars can stop and we only had to wait 20 minutes. At the petrol station nobody wanted to take us with them, so it would be better to pick this spot.―Anonymous

If you stand at the beginning of the lane to the petrol station, you have a high chance of being picked up. We only had to wait for 20 minutes and our friends(two groups of two people) were also picked up here. The Aral gasstation just before the bridge to Fehmarn. I think it's a good one. Many people go to Fehmarn for holidays or shopping and not to the ferry. If you got a ride from someone like that, ask to get off at the aral gasstation. There hh for a ride to the ferry. Not so much traffic at this gasstation, but for these few kilometres to the ferry, people dare to take a hher.―Anonymous

We arrived here at 10pm in November and there were not many cars stopping. We decided to camp (it's just a 1km walk to the sea) and tried it next morning again.
